32yrs / male presented with closed displaced spiral oblique fracture distal 1/4th humerus and was treated with orif with 3.5mm interfrag screw + 3.5mm extraarticular distal humerus lcp Indian make 3 months back..had some difficulty due to make as was not getting contoured as per anatomy. Present xray shows good consolidation at fracture site and patient has returned back to his routine activities.

  Samarth Mittal I am a bit sceptical about the placement of the distal screws too..... one of them is meant to aim towards the capitellum and the other towards tochlea....

  Gopal Goel Rahul B Tanga good job. only one point . When you are using LCP with locking principle then do not use inter fragmentary screws. The principle of LCP allows micro motion at fracture site which can either be neutralized by interfragmentary screw resulting in non union or the screw may break( these problems don't occur in all cases )

  Anuj Agrawal Gopal Goel Locking plates can be used as neutralisation plates too. In that case, you need a more rigid configuration, with screws close to the fracture, rather than going for a long working length to allow micromotion.

  Kir Pat Good hybrid.. fix... but distal screw fixation configuration(distal 2 screws are not holding farcortex and nonlocking also) must be good hold in such torsional or one more lag screw in 90-90 construct..

  Rahul B Tanga Thanks Dr kir pat.i agree with you but these were problems with Indian implant.ideally synthes implant design has distal 2.7mm screws one is directed to capitelum and other trochlea, other 2 screws on lateral column.but it was not possible with this implant.
